Tutoring
Hi there, I’m Kristy!
I am a creative and energetic teacher, based in Clitheroe and the surrounding areas, with 5 years of experience within a classroom as well as with private tuition. I have experience of teaching within all year groups in primary school from Year 1 through to Year 6. Primary school teaching is my passion and ensuring that every child develops a love for their learning is what I strive to achieve.

In my spare time, I use my creativity to produce balloon decorations for birthdays, graduations etc. I am also a keen sports person and play netball weekly in a local league. I am an animal lover and the proud mother to a cat and a puppy and enjoy long walks in the Ribble Valley.

Bio
Welcome to Miss Jacks Tutoring!

Teaching children and allowing them to develop academically, socially and emotionally has been a passion of mine since a young age. Through this desire and ambition, I followed this path and became a teacher. Teaching has always come naturally to me, so much so that my friends and family often tell me to ‘stop being a teacher’ whilst at home! From my experience as a teacher, I understand that children must believe in themselves and their abilities in order to reach their full potential.

That is where Miss Jacks Tutoring comes in! Our ethos as well as the overarching aim is to provide children with this belief and confidence within themselves. We believe that focused and personalised learning is key to unlocking every child’s full potential; learning is much more than just academic subjects!

At Miss Jacks Tutoring we offer both online and face-to-face tutoring, allowing children to access learning in whichever way suites them and their families. We support the children and build up their understanding so that any misconceptions or gaps in their learning are filled in, providing them with stable foundations to build upon. We give children that extra ‘push’ to achieve things they never believed they could!
Education
Bachelor of Arts Degree in Primary Education
September 2012 – July 2015
At University of Cumbria, I studied a three year Primary Education degree, where I achieved a 2:1 as well as Qualified Teacher Status. Here I explored all aspects of the Primary National Curriculum and the different subjects taught. I worked towards and met all of the Teacher Standards and effectively implemented these into my teaching. Following on from this, I completed my Newly Qualified Teacher year, making me a fully qualified teacher, ready to spread my love for learning!
